WESU Antenna Problem
On June 28th, at the tail end of a successful spring pledge drive, WESU was dealt a major technical blow, temporarily taking us off the FM airwaves. Our transmitter is OK but there is a problem with our antenna that needs to be repaired. Upon first internal inspection it appears the antenna took a direct lightning hit.
We areĀ back on air broadcasting from a temporary antenna operating at reduced power until we can rebuild or purchase a new antenna. Thanks for your patience as we work to get back up to full power ASAP!
In the meantime, our programming has continued as usual. Our internet stream was unaffected and our online archives enable listeners to catch any program they may have missed out on for up to two weeks.
So relieved it is technical. Between you and UHartford I get most of my news and listening. You are both the greatest. I live in an awkward pocket of listening and tuning-in is a nightmare. Good luck.
