Board Hours This Semester: (Always 4-6pm in the WESU board room)

Board Meeting Time: Mondays at 5pm! (email board@wesufm.org if you’d like to stop by — always open to staff unless noted otherwise)

Mass student PSA recordings this weekend – should have raw material for at least 5 by Monday

Making Board meetings productive this semester

  • Should we start meeting once every other week to maximize shareable information (with an eye on meeting in the intervening weeks should we need to? Going to propose to Ben…

Moving forward/Next Year:

  • Legacy Documents
  • Finding successors
    • Let’s make a google doc with ideas for successors
    • Polling amongst students for interest
    • Make an announcement at upcoming staff meeting
    • Community members wanted/needed for MD positions

Program design?

  • Ava Bradlow has volunteered – should be ready by late next week at the latest

80th Anniversary

  • When do we want an event? (which semester?)
  • Perhaps better for planning time to make our big event be at the top of fall 2019 semester — but we can still have celebrations this year

Spreading Awareness/Listenership

  • Late-afternoon timeslots for students? This is when kids are most likely to be tuning in…could there be more of a balance in future seasons?
  • Enlisting student bands to play at record fair and the Freeform fest?

Ben’s Notes:

  • Promo contest — we have to choose a winner
    • Should we have another one, try to get more submissions this time?
  • MYRP
    • Speaking to Clifton re: synergy and collaboration with local Middletown organizations
    • The new hosts are freshman/sophomores so personnel is taken care of for the time being — good also that there is a handful to ensure someone is always around to host if there are any conflicts with scheduling
  • Website update:
    • MD blog/Mail
      • Both could use some tending-to
    • update program schedule on stream rewind/spinitron — Carina is on it!
