80th

  • 80th Logo:She’s still fine tuning but Victoria has come up

with some nice work. I’ve attached 2 80th anniversary logos. I think we can

use both!

  • 80th Spring lecture series all confirmed (thanks for supporting the

line-up), awaiting a poster from Rhea at JCCP.  

  • We will need a WESU board member to meet with Hanna at The CFA to go over

the details of the lecture series events and set up the space rental as a

student event (cost us nothing vs a departmental event). This seems like a

job for Dillon/Babe/Beth. Please figure out who and follow up with me.

  • Buttonwood – I made a PSA/promo for the buttonwood show – CD is in the

Studio

  • Will talk more about this when we are with Ben
  • Tiny Shed fest?

Record Fair

  • Jenny:
  • What people like:
    • The space
    • Mix of collectors vs. students – worthwhile show to attend
  • What they don’t:
    • Hate the downstairs level – confusing
    • Vendors feel it ruins their sales because people focus/spend their money on the $1 section
    • Snacks/Food? Tough to get to usdan
      • Talk to Bonapp?
  • Making it look more like an Event: we have someone willing to come in and dress the space the morning of
    • Could we get a riser from the school?
    • Putting the DJ booth in the center?
  • Beth:
    • Publicity? Argus/Wesleying/Aural Wes
  • Ben:
    • coming together – Jen has been at all the shows promoting  – I

am sure this will make a big difference! Ben M will be promoting at a show

this weekend at Foxwoods. Jen will be at show in Danbury on Sunday?  Jen has

also been soliciting feedback from vendors and patrons and has some new

ideas…. Can we get a riser for the DJ? Can we move the DJ booth to the far

end of the hall? Need to reach out to Brent Morgan at IMS to inquire about

moving our DJ booth.  We have flyers and need help getting them around

campus! Also need to ramp up campus publication promotions for the fair…

  • We also need a new audio promo to run on air! (in addition to the one BM

created and is currently running)  

When is the Pledge Drive?

  • Could we let collectors know at the event/put packets in hands?
  • Ben: Need to new t-shirt and other items, and design our pledge

packet to get in the mail ASAP. Perhaps the packet is where we can solicit

Alum and listeners to help us with the 80th by submitting picture, and

recordings to be incorporated to our website/80th gallery/soundcloud

MDs

  • Getting the Honey Oat album into the library
  • Redscroll trip: March 30th?

WEBsite – Carina has been working on this over break – great work! – time

to implement revised history per leith, and work on image gallery/timeline.

Hoping to get Carina/Leith/Ben together next Monday during Carina’s board

hours.  

Public File- Sill haven’t heard from Rachel about the public file public

issues report. Hoping to hear from her important task/responsibility.  April

marks the beginning of the 2nd quarter of the year and a new report will be

due.
