NPR programs now temporarily broadcast over alternate feed due to windstorm damage; FM broadcast signal off until roof is repaired; online up and running

Due to the recent windstorm which damaged our relay equipment atop Exeley Science Center, we are broadcasting our NPR programs by using the feed of another radio station which also carries our usual WSHU feed. The damage occurred when high winds blew the roof off the elevator motor shed, damaging an array of equipment, but sparing our WSHU feed antenna. The antenna which receives the relay signal from our studios was knocked over and will be re-positioned restoring the feed once the roof has been repaired. The winds also impacting our broadcast tower, causing it to tilt. New rigging will be required to repair the tower.

While the roof is being repaired our FM transmitter will be off, but our web feed will continue as usual.

Roof which had been on the elevator motor shed lies in a heap atop Exeley Science Center roof.
WSHU feed antenna in foreground was undamaged. Broadcast tower in back is now tilting.
Relay antenna (flat square item) support was damaged when the roof blew off. It should be straight up and pointed right towards the WESU studios. Other equipment on the roof was also damaged.
Broadcast tower was also damaged by winds. New rigging will be needed to repair it.
