WESU Fall Season 2022
As the seasons change and we head into autumn, a new program season also begins at WESU! On September 19th, we began our new fall schedule with nearly 100 student and community volunteer broadcasters working side by side to present over 90 hours of original, locally produced freeform content backed by our powerful mix of public affairs from Pacifica, NPR, and independent sources.
The WESU fall program continues to feature many long-running community programs like the The Moondog Matinee, an “oldies” show, which has been broadcast on Saturday mornings for over 30 years! One year after the untimely death of WESU volunteer, “Psychedelic Rick,” last September, WESU DJ’s continue to join forces to keep the spirit of Rick and his show, the Pychedelicatessen, alive on Sunday nights from 9-11pm, following Dead Air with Uncle John. The Marble Universe is a new show that explores the role of one of the world’s oldest toys throughout humanity. Other new shows like Anything Goes and Sugar Crash aim to bring live performances back into the studio following a few years of restrictions due to lockdown.
The station relies on listener support to operate and to continue providing its unique and fresh content. A huge thanks to all that supported the WESU Spring Pledge Drive! Stay tuned for information about the upcoming Fall Pledge Drive. Tune in to WESU Middletown 88.1FM at any time, or stream by clicking listen for a 24/7 livestream of music and public affairs. You can also find the full program at www.wesufm.org/schedule. At https://wesu.streamrewind.com, listeners can stream any show for up to two weeks following the initial broadcast.
Rock on!
