I’m sure I have a fondness for a lot of those songs. I think, “King of Rock,” by Run DMC was on it. I think. I’m 100% sure Timex Social Club’s, “Rumors” ended both sides (the second side ending with an extended remix version). I used to fast forward through it. I didn’t understand the R&B-Rap Hip-Hop hybrid genius of it all until later on in life though at some point I did stop fast forwarding past the song even back then. “I’m a man who thinks. Not a man who drinks. So, please let me live my life,” became a mantra in my life as well.

The production demonstrates his maximalist leanings on MBDTF to the fullest extent, with some of his most clever writing to boot. This song has a legacy far beyond what I can write at this point, I just had to pay respect to one of Kanye’s best.
