Record Fair THIS SATURDAY 10/5

10/05/24 WESU Fall Record Fair
A Day of Music, Bargains, Fun and Community

WESU is excited to announce its Fall Record Fair, taking place this October as part of the station’s 85th anniversary celebrations. This vibrant community gathering invites analog enthusiasts to explore a treasure trove of music and memorabilia. Run by student and community volunteers for over 20 years, WESU’s biannual record fairs raise much-needed funds to support community radio at WESU while offering patrons a day of music, bargains, and fun!

The fair will feature an eclectic mix of vinyl records, CDs, DVDs, books, and music memorabilia from some of the finest vendors across New England. Attendees can expect to find thousands of albums, t-shirts, and posters at affordable prices. WESU General Manager Ben Michael encourages the community, stating, “We have tons of records that need to find new homes. Come on down, let’s make a deal!”

Throughout the day, WESU DJs will spin records, and local and student musicians will perform on Huss Lawn, right outside Beckham Hall. A selection of food trucks will also be on-site to keep guests energized while they shop.

The Fall Record Fair is FREE and open to the public on Saturday, October 5th, from 11 AM to 4 PM at Beckham Hall, located at 45 Wyllys Avenue, Middletown, CT. For those eager to get first pick of the record stock, “early bird” admission will be available for $5 from 10 AM to 11 AM, providing an exclusive hour of browsing before the fair opens to the public.

There are still spots for a few more vendors and local supporters can also donate records to WESU that will be sold to benefit the station. For more information, please email generalmanager@wesufm.org or call 860-685-7707.

WESU invites the community to celebrate 85 years of broadcasting and join in the celebration of freeform radio and music together at this exciting event!
