WESU: 1960-1969

(Special Collections & Archives) In 1967, WESU received a major upgrade in transmitter power, from 10 watts to 1,000 watts, in substantially increasing broadcast coverage area. The Administration supported the improvements, a response to a change in FCC regulations. With the increase in power and new equipment, if the conditions were right, WESU could be heard as far away as Newark, New Jersey.
