Titanium Lounge on Main Street in Middletown is kicking off a new series of weekly live music events. Tonight features live comedy and Friday nights are for live Jazz. The Jazz series launches this Friday from 8 to 11 p.m. with renown trombonist Steve Davis and his quintet featuring, alto saxophonist Mike DiRubbo, pianist David Hazeltine, bassist Nat Reeves and drummer Joe Farnsworth. The quintet is followed by “Late Night Jazz Jam” featuring guitarist Andrew Renfroe and bassist Alex Tremblay from 11:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. for Information call: 860-788-2419.
Tonight at Cafe Nine in New Haven, The Field Recordings play Noise pop and experimental stoner rock. Friday, Leila Crockett and Lipgloss Crisis make for a night of Burlesque at Cafe Nine. Saturday’s, afternoon Jazz Jam will be hosted by host Tony Dioguardi this week. Saturday night brings “A”, the annual ST. PATRICK’S DAY MASSACRE at Café Nine, featuring some New York City Punk Rock heavyweight legends MANITOBA, with Dead City and JACQUES LE COQUE. Tonight at real arts ways in hartford, is the third of the month and Brings Real Art Ways monthly Creative Cocktail hr offering a view of the current Gallery shows and a glimpse at this year’s upcoming Annual Odd Ball fundraiser.
At The Buttonwood Tree Friday night at 8, Songwriters Anitra Brooks and Eric Kuhn perform “Two of us”, doing some songs by him, some by her, some by both, and some by others. Saturday, at 8 there’s an Irish FUNraiser at the buttonwood, with Irish storytelling, Celtic tunes and baked treats from O’Rourke’s Diner. On Sundays, Food Not Bombs shares food about 1 pm in front of the Buttonwood. All are welcome. At 4pm this Sunday, you can catch the Monthly Poetry Potluck, an opportunity for people who enjoy poetry to get together to share and discuss their favorite works. Later Sunday Evening, at 7, It’s a release party for Gale B Garduner’s new album ”‘Welcome Home’, a ‘journey thru genres’.
