House Keeping and Reminders:
Meeting attendance: All staff meetings are mandatory attendance. Missing more than half can affect your status.
Tech: Sign up for your spinitron and Streamrewind accounts
General Studio etiquette: Whether you have the pope on the phone line or your mom in the studio – No one is more important than anyone else is around here. Work with each other not against each other.
Use the studio calendar to schedule your production time in studio C and B. Respect the time limits. Try to keep your sounds inside your studio, if possible. Ask to be added to the studio reservation google cal.
No swearing on air! Safe Harbor does not protect casual cussing on air. The fines associated with violating that rule are too stiff for WESU to mess with and could potentially shut us down. I’m all for pushing the envelope as long as the law is clearly on our side.
No smoking or burning incense anywhere inside WESU – bad for equipment and lungs!
(BM) Last DJ at night calls PSafe 2345 from a studio phone. Don’t have to wait for them.
Incident at Red and Black with local resident
· Anyone can call PSAFE for escort from station to car as needed. Students can often get a ride home as well
Automation: beware the show adjacent to yours may be in automation. Host of automated shows need to communicate with the neighboring DJs. Some are syndicated/ Look to Ben’s Program draft, where auto shows are highlighted.
Board meetings are open to staff and public Mondays at 5pm.
